A Pinner man appeared in court today to face charges for his part in a fight which left a party-goer with serious head injuries.
Mark Last, of Wiltshire Lane, Pinner, pleaded not guilty at Harrow Crown Court to the charge of causing grievous bodily harm to a 39-year-old man at a party on June 22.
Friends are rallying round a pensioner suffering from Alzheimer's who has gone without electricity and gas for three weeks.
Michael Wright, of Jubliee Close, Pinner, has been relying on the kindness of strangers and friends in order to survive without basic facilities.
When a fire damaged his flat earlier this year, Mr Wright was moved to temporary accommodation and later a care home after he had a fall at home.
Police are still hunting a man in connection with two stabbings at a Pinner pub.
Officers have not been able to contact Philip Wilson, 44, since the assault, which took place in the beer garden of the King George IV in Marsh Road, Pinner.
A 52-year-old man was stabbed in the stomach and a 20-year-old man was stabbed in the ear.

Harrow in LEAF in Association with Harrow Museum & Heritage Centre are holding their 4th Annual Show at Headstone Manor in Pinner view.
Paintings created by members of Pinner Sketch Club went on display on Saturday (16).
The club, which has been in action for more than sixty years, is inviting people to have a look around, purchase paintings and vote for their favourite piece.
The exhibition, which runs until August 30, will be on show at St John's Church Hall in Church Lane, Pinner between Monday to Saturday from 10am to 6pm and Sunday (24) from 12 noon to 6pm. Admission is free.

People with learning disabilities are being helped to live more independently thanks to a long-established Pinner charity.
Link Up organises courses, activities and trips to improve the confidence of up to 250 of Harrow's most vulnerable people so they can find friends, advice and jobs.
Harrow Beekeepers' Association will be exhibiting at the 4th Harrow in Leaf Horticultural Show on August Bank Holiday.

A series of rows about Pinner's new toilets are threatening to bring plans for the much needed facilities to a halt.
For more than five years the village has been crying out for new toilets after the derelict lavatories in Chapel Lane car park were shut down.
Pinner Association of Churches is due to host its own Songs of Praise in the park event.
The concert in Pinner Memorial Park in Chapel Lane, Pinner, will start at 2.30pm on August 24.
The Pinner Association of Churches is a group of six churches in the village which includes St Luke's, Paines Lane United Free, Pinner Methodist, St John's, St Andrew's and Cannon Lane Methodist church.
