Police hunt Pinner pub knife man

Both were taken to Northwick Park Hospital in Watford Road, Harrow, where they recovered but at the time it was thought the older man's injuries were life-threatening.

It was later discovered there was no security on the door of the pub when the men were attacked at about 7.30pm on January 11.

The weapon, a kitchen knife with a four-inch blade, was found at the scene by forensic scientists.

Police believe the attacker, who is described as a white man with receding brown hair, may have had a row with the two men. If caught, he could be charged with grievous bodily harm or attempted murder.

Officers would like to speak to Wilson about the incident and believe he may be in Harrow, Hillingdon or Hemel Hempstead. No arrests have been made since the assault.

Ruth Boff, spokeswoman for the Pinner Association which looks after the interests of residents in the village, said: "It is shocking to hear of such attacks happening in Pinner.

"It is a pity knife crime is finding its way off the streets and into pubs where people are trying to enjoy a pleasant evening out.

"It is a sign of the times when you learn a person has been stabbed in a pub brawl rather than ending up with a bloody nose.

"This should be a warning to people in the area to be aware of their surroundings and be responsible when out to ensure they still enjoy themselves."
