Pupils from Reddiford School in Cecil Park, Pinner, have donated £100 to the Observer's Save Pinner's Christmas campaign.

It was feared the popular Pinner Pantomime Evening would be cancelled due to lack of funds but enough money has been raised for the show to go on.

The school's choir has also agreed to perform on the night which takes place in the village on November 27.

Harrow Friends of the Earth is hosting a talk on reducing your home's carbon footprint and how you can save money.

This will be followed by refreshments and then its AGM. Visitors do not have to stay for the AGM.

A comedy night is being held to raise money for a memorial trust dedicated to a Harrow man who was murdered in America.

Adam Bloom heads the bill on Sunday November 2 in the Village Hall, off Chapel Lane, Pinner.
Tickets are £12 in advance and £15 on the door.

Shop volunteers are needed for St Luke's Hospice shops in Pinner, Harrow, Harrow Weald and Stanmore.

Volunteers commit to one shift per week. The charity has an urgent need for volunteers to cover the afternoon shift from 1.15-5pm.
