Man, 65, bitten and injured by dogs in Harrow Weald
A 65-YEAR-OLD man was bitten by two Rottweilers in Harrow Weald less than a week after a resident was separately fined for having a dangerous dog.
The victim was attacked at just before 6pm on Tuesday last week (July 27) in a field behind Bellfield Avenue and had to go to Edgware Community Hospital in Edgware suffering minor injuries to his arm and leg.
Harrow Police's dog legislation officer, PC Simon Underwood, is investigating the allegation of assault.
The same officer was involved in the prosecution of Philip Heywood, 47, of West Drive, Harrow Weald, on Wednesday July 21 at Harrow Crown Court.
Heywood admitted possessing a dog which was dangerously out of control in a public place.
The judge ordered him to pay ã50 in compensation, ã500 towards the cost of the prosecution, a ã200 fine and a victim's surcharge of ã15.
