Nine arrested after ex-Hatch End High School pupil, 15, is stabbed in Harrow Weald fight
A 15-YEAR-OLD ex-Hatch End High School pupil was stabbed in High Road, Harrow Weald, on Friday at 4.50pm during a mass brawl.
The victim was alleged attacked in a fight on the pavement outside the parade of shops opposite Homebase and is in a "serious but stable" condition at an east London hospital where he was taken by the air ambulance.
One witness, who was too frightened of repercussions to give her name, said: "The gangs are here every single day but nobody does anything. It's Hatch End High School - all the gangs are from that school.
"Their behaviour is absolutely disgraceful. The reason they come here is that they know there aren't any CCTV cameras here; we asked the council to put cameras here but to no avail.
"I'm too scared to go out and we bring all the signs in and lock the door. It's that's bad that sometimes I think is it worth carrying on with the business?"
She explained: "On Friday I saw a crowd of people. It was a fight in the street. We saw quite a few running up and down the High Road and I thought: 'There's going to be a problem.'
"The next minute all I could see this guy running towards a bus stop and others chasing him and then caught up with him and I saw an arm going up and down, and people shouting and screaming 'Call the police, call an ambulance!'"
The Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "We were called on Friday afternoon to reports of a fight in progress in High Road in Harrow Weald.
"The fight involved approximately 15 people. A male, believed to be in his mid-teens, was discovered suffering a stab wound."
He said nine males - whose ages are unknown at present - were arrested in connection with the altercation. It is not known if they are still in custody or have been charged.
However, the Observer understands they are pupils who attend schools other than Hatch End High School.

Here we are again on the 3rd July and yet another youth has been stabbed in Harrow Weald. The epicentre of these incidents seems to be the KFC fast food outlet.
It's about time these premises were either closed down or policed to stop these gangs congregating.
The recreation park opposite also is used for these gangs to fight where they cannot be seen on CCTV as there aren't any cameras in the area.
As usual it is hatch end students. As a former student a while back I can definitely say that this school has no control over their pupils in or out of school. And also harrow generally has got worse over the last few years. The police need to be tougher and schools need to get a grip over their 'students' or asbo kids as they are better known as. There needs to be an example made of these kids. Do what has to be done and stop the rest if harrow's youth from destroying the community.
This is likely the same group of HE kids that attacked a youth on a bus in Wealdstone with a broken bottle @ 4.30pm on 1st May.
No police attended the scene so there was no forensics and the bus had no CCTV & therefore should not have been operating.
A similar set of HE school kids have been approaching teenagers in Headstone Recreation ground and demanding money and mobile phones.

I hate to be picky, but there aren't any shops opposite Homebase. The first shop on the NW side of the High Road is opposite Iceland.
